On Friday, February 9, 2024, the skills of CTEC's The Blaze Kitchen Culinary students took center stage at the much-anticipated Nexus Night event, generously sponsored by Career Partners Inc. Led by the expert guidance of Chef Jay Cohen, the students orchestrated a culinary extravaganza with a Valentine's Day twist, treating 20 community members to an unforgettable cooking class.
Stepping into the kitchen, guests were greeted with an atmosphere buzzing with excitement and creativity. Divided into groups, they embarked on a culinary journey, each station manned by Chef Cohen’s students ready to assist and inspire.
The menu, carefully crafted to tantalize the taste buds and warm the heart, featured an exquisite selection of dishes. From the elegant presentation of plated caprese salad to the indulgent delight of crab stuffed shrimp, every course was a testament to the students' dedication to their craft. The meal also featured a heart-shaped risotto adorned with fresh asparagus.
For dessert, guests were treated to a whimsical creation: chocolate pasta paired harmoniously with raspberry ice cream, a sweet finale to an evening filled with culinary delights. Quenching their thirst with refreshing red rose lemonade, attendees savored every sip.
