The Medical Assistant class wasn't telling ghost stories today. Instead, they were learning how to check visual acuity using both the Spot Vision Screener and the Snellen chart.
This weekend, our CTEC EMT Program students volunteered for the Blue and Red Santa Project. The Blue & Red Santa Project is a community-driven initiative to brighten the holidays for some of our area’s less fortunate children. Great job, Trailblazers! #seizeopportunity #culpepertec

CTEC has been filled with excitement this week as we hosted fifth graders from each of Culpeper's elementary schools. The fifth graders learned about each of a our programs, and got hands-on with various program demonstrations led by our Trailblazers! We look forward to seeing the fifth graders back in CTEC as Trailblazers in a few years!
Thank you Veterans. Today and every day.
Today, CTEC had the pleasure of hosting local Veterans for a Veterans Day Celebration. Veterans were served lunch by our Culinary students, while the combined choir comprised of Eastern View High School and Culpeper County High School choirs sang.
Thank you to our School Board and Board of Supervisor members for attending, but most importantly, thank you to our Veterans for your services and sacrifices so that we can live in a free country.
Today, our Medical Assistant students attended the Healthcare Career Fair at Germanna Community College, Locust Grove Campus, where they gained insight into the healthcare industry, developed professional interview skills, and established network relationships with our local healthcare facilities. #culpepertec #SeizeOpportunity
Brian Sime, Technical Support Engineer from BMW of North America, visited our CTEC Automotive program today to discuss the BMW STEP program and what job opportunities await CTEC graduates if they choose to join the BMW program.
Mr. Sime gave real-world advice for our aspiring technicians in level 1 and level 2. Mr. Sime also drove a brand new all electric 2023 BMW i5 M60 to show to our students.

From there, the students went to downtown Culpeper to look at the architecture of the historic buildings, with an emphasis on the windows and doors of the buildings along Davis St.
