We will have a Dental Clinic here on April 26th. If you would like your child to participate in the Dental Clinic, please complete the paperwork that was sent home before spring break. Forms need to be returned by April 12th if you would like your child to participate.

Culpeper County Public Schools and offices will be closed Monday, April 1 through Friday, April 5, 2024 for Spring Break.


Yesterday, Mrs. Bridges 2nd graders played Plinko to learn about probability. They predicted what color the Plinko chip was likely to land in and what color it was unlikely to land in. They played several times to test their predictions!

This is our last week of school before spring break. We have some fun events planned for our students this week including a Drama performance presented by our Drama Club on Friday afternoon.
On Tuesday, our Farm to School Liaison will be joining us again and will be conducting a Farm to Table cooking experience for our students during their lunch time. Feel free to ask your children about the yummy treat they tried during lunch if they buy lunch on Tuesday.
Looking ahead, we will have spring break April 1st through April 5th. There will be no school on those days and our office will be closed. I hope you all have a fabulous break and we’ll look forward to welcoming our students back on April 8th.

Last Call! Out of zone renewal period ends March 31. If your child is currently on a zone waiver, a renewal application must be submitted prior to March 31. Applications are found on our website https://www.culpeperschools.org/page/student-services
If you child will be changing schools (ie. rising 6th or 9th grade), you will complete an initial application, which will be available on April 8, 2024.

Looking ahead to next school year, our goal is to develop well rounded classes. Unfortunately, this prevents us from accepting requests for specific teachers. However, if you would like to provide any information about your child’s learning style that you want us to consider during placement, please email me by May 1st.

Next week we are starting our One School Two Books activities. Be on the lookout for a “Fenway and Hattie” book that will be coming home soon. The book is a gift for our students from our Reading Committee. We hope you and your family enjoy the book together. We will be doing activities around the book at school the rest of the month.
In addition to our One School Two Books Activities, students are encouraged to participate in the Reading Radness Challenge by reading at home the rest of the month to earn prizes for their class. A flier with more information was sent home. Thank you for helping share the love of reading with your children at home.
Our PTO will be having a spirit night at Little Caesars on Monday, March 11th. We hope you are able to join us to enjoy a yummy meal with your family.
